More about Lauren Cañafranca
Lauren is an Accredited Financial Counsellor Canada who serves creatives with variable income to help them cultivate a relationship with money rooted in security gratitude and choice. She uses a judgement free space to assist clients in letting the shame of their money stories go and step into their financial power.
My focus is on the emotional parts of money and how we interact with it. The message I send to listeners is that they can aspire to improve their financial position without using shame on themselves or talking themselves into goals they aren’t actually connected to.
My origin story is born out of debt and shame. I avoided money until I couldn’t anymore and then rode the shame pendulum into compulsive control (or at least the illusion of that). What I learned was that this relationship was one that I needed to build healthy secure attachment with in a way that was sustainable. This experience is what allows me to stay in a place of non-judgement because I’ve seen and been a lot of places with money.
